BRIC NCCS
We are excited to share our new publication in the Journal of Cell Science, which reveals the presence of a subpopulation of P-bodies (PBs) and Stress Granules (SGs) at the ER-mitochondria contact sites (ERMCSs). Interestingly, the disruption of ERMCSs leads to an autophagy-dependent loss of PBs but not SGs, thereby identifying a potential link between ERMCSs and the post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression via PBs. This is an excellent work done by Nikhil More (also see the First Person Interview: https://journals.biologists.com/…/First-person-Nikhil-More). We are really grateful for the support from BRIC – National Centre for Cell Science and funding agencies: DBT, India and DST-SERB, India.
